What is Tivuzo?
Tivuzo is a hotel back office system. It brings your property management system (PMS), procurement, inventory and accounting together, so that every booking, purchase and stock movement updates your books automatically.
Who is Tivuzo for?
Independent hotels, safari lodges, tented camps and guesthouses, and groups that run several properties. It suits properties that have outgrown notebooks and spreadsheets but do not want an expensive enterprise system.
How do we start?
Fill in the start form or contact us. We set up your own web address, then work with you to add your rooms, stores, suppliers and accounts during the 14-day free trial.
How long does setup take?
It depends on the size of your property and how many modules you switch on. A small property using the PMS and accounting can be ready quickly; a larger hotel with several stores takes longer. We agree a plan and a go-live date with you at the start.
Do we need to install anything?
No. Tivuzo runs in a web browser on laptops, tablets and phones. You only need receipt or kitchen printers if you use the restaurant and bar POS.
The product
Can we use only some modules?
Yes. Many properties start with the PMS and accounting and add procurement, inventory and the POS later. Everything you have entered carries forward.
Can we run several properties?
Yes. Each property keeps its own rooms, stores and books, and the group can see consolidated purchasing and reports.
Does Tivuzo record M-Pesa payments?
Yes. M-Pesa, card, cash and bank payments can be recorded against guest folios, POS bills and supplier bills, with their references kept for reconciliation.
Can staff have different access?
Yes. Each user gets a role, such as front desk, storekeeper, chef, accountant or manager, and only sees the work that role needs.
Can we import our existing data?
Yes. We import rooms, rates, guests, future bookings, products, suppliers and opening balances from spreadsheet exports.
Data and security
Who owns our data?
You do. You can export your records whenever you want, and we will help you take a full export if you leave.
Is our data secure?
Each property is reached over an encrypted connection on its own address, every user has their own login, and access is limited by role. Changes are logged so you can see who did what.
What is Tivuzo built on?
Tivuzo is built on a proven open-source business platform, extended with our own hotel modules. That gives you a mature accounting and inventory core, and keeps your data portable.
